At HM Dog Training we offer personalized training for canines of all breeds & behavior levels. Our goal is to build confident, well-behaved dogs through fun, positive methods that strengthen the bond between you & your dog.
Custom Tailored Programs For Every Canine . . .
How long is training & how does it work?
Great question! 2-week 4-week, or 8-week programs are available! Typically, sessions are 2-3 days a week in order for consistency to graduate your pup in the designated time-frame. Sessions are 1 hour long & scheduled when convenient for you. After the consultation, the appropriate program is selected by the trainer & owner for best results. When training is complete, graduated canines receive a signed certificate with their adorable faces printed on & seal of achievement!

Stay & Train
Owners, family members, & anyone interested in their dog’s training are more than welcome to stay & observe. You’ll gain valuable insight & learn effective techniques you can confidently use @ home.
Drop Off / Pick-Up
If you’d prefer to drop your dog off for training, feel free! We completely understand that life gets busy & you may not always be able to stay for the full session.

Grooming
Keep your pup looking & feeling their best! Grooming includes a bath, shampoo, conditioner, de-shedding, nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, & anal gland expression. Clean dog, happy home! Rates differ depending on dog’s size.
Mobile Nail Trimming / Pet-Sitting
Does your pup need just a quick nail trimming? We offer convenient mobile nail trimming right at your home. Just send Hannah a message—rates will be determined based on your location. Drop your pup if you’re going on vacation with a trusted canine expert!

Are your trainers certified?
Yes! Our lead trainer, Hannah, is a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) since May 2023. This credential means she has both hands-on experience in animal care & formal training in animal behavior, health, & safety. With a strong foundation in veterinary knowledge & real-world experience working with dogs of all breeds & temperaments, Hannah brings professionalism, patience, & a deep understanding of canine behavior to every training session.
What will my dog learn in training at HM Dog Training?
At HM Dog Training, your dog will learn practical skills that build better behavior and improve your bond. We focus on essential obedience like sit, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, and polite greetings—plus socialization and impulse control. Whether you’re working on basic manners or more advanced goals, we tailor training to fit your dog’s needs, age, and energy level. Our goal is to help your dog become confident, well-behaved, and enjoyable to live with—at home and in public.
My dog is reactive & can be aggressive. Can they still obtain training?
Absolutely. At HM Dog Training, we welcome dogs with reactivity or aggressive behavior. With a Certified Veterinary Assistant leading your training, we understand that these behaviors often stem from fear, anxiety, or lack of guidance. Training is customized to your dog’s needs, with a focus on safety, behavior modification, & confidence building. We use patient, structured methods to help your dog feel more secure & learn how to respond calmly in challenging situations. Every dog deserves a chance to improve—& we’re here to help.
What vaccinations does my dog need?
For the safety of all dogs in training, we require proof of up-to-date vaccinations. Your dog must be current on:

Puppies be must have at least their first two rounds of shots to begin training. We recommend checking with your vet to make sure your dog is protected & ready for a safe training experience. If you’re unsure about your dog’s vaccination records, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help guide you.
Can you work on a specific issue with my dog?
Yes! At HM Dog Training, we tailor every training plan to your dog’s unique needs. We’ll work closely with you to understand the issue & create a step-by-step plan to help your dog improve and thrive.
